It's a word processor and not a type setter.
You may want to look at the many type setting programs out there. There are many but your budget may rule out some.
Let's start with a free one.

I am having a difficult time producing professional-looking documents for clients. My small business produces health insurance analyses for individuals. An analysis is usually 16 pages long and it merges Word 2007 and Excel 2007 files. I have been using Word's object-linking utility (OLE), but it is awkward and the results are uneven. I'd like to try a different approach or new software that will enable me to link these files into one professional-looking document. Should I purchase Adobe Acrobat and link the existing files together into a single document to produce a PDF version?
