Question

PSU HAS NO 6 PIN ?!?!

Oct 18, 2013 5:28AM PDT

I started building my computer the other day, and it was all going fine until I realized that my PSU (pre installed into the case) was without a 6 pin connector for my Graphics Card. My graphics card did come with a 2 molex to 6 pin Adapter except both of my molex's (my PSU only has 2) are being used by my case fans. I'm worried about running the build without case fans. Is there anything I can do to fix this?!?!?! I need both my case fans and my graphics card powered so... I'm stumped. PLEASE HELP ASAP... need this build ASAP. Thanks so much!

Answer
How about a "Y" connector?

These are readily available for such purposes. Your case fans need very little current so get a Y connector and attach both to one power source.

Molex Y connector

I don't know if you have a computer store nearby but these should be 3 to 5 bucks...and over priced at that. The top left image might be what you want but there are any number of adapters out there for whatever the need might be. Newegg will have them too.
