PSP will not connect to Netgear WNR2000

Jan 6, 2011 10:38AM PST

I recently acquired a PSP 1001 model and I am trying to connect with my Netgear WNR2000 router. I just updated the firmware and I try to connect and it times out. IT seems to exchange the security key but will not connect.

My PS3 is connect via a wired connection but I tried the router and it gives the same error message. I can connect my laptop via wireless. I'm about ready to throw this router through a wall and rent a modem/router from my ISP for $3.95 a month.

Any suggestions? I know the security key is right I've tried different security options. I'm past my 90 days exchange with walmart but I'm tempted to try and take it back anyway.
