Pseudo Smartphone

hi, I am looking for a phone that has some basic pc syncing capabilities. I looked at the smartphones and to get one at a reasonable price it is required to get a data plan. Since I do not need a full blown smartphone and def don't need a data plan, I was wondering if there is a phone with some basic calendar and contact syncing.

As I am a student and don't have a lot of money cheaper would be better but, I would like the ability to have some basic reminders and such. Playing mp3s would be a plus but not necessary

My contract is up soon so I wouldn't mind going into a 2 year contract if I can get a good deal on the phone. All of the major providers (Sprint, Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile) are available in my location.
