Noise is an issue

I've read several reviews of the Nyko Intercooler devices for both the 360 and the PS3 (search here on cnet for a review of the one for the 360). People seem to be evenly split between thinking that: yes, it does cool the systems down; no, it doesn't cool at all; and no, it not only doesn't cool it actually increases the internal heat. The only thing people seem to agree on is that it's noisy.

nyko = bad

Microsoft says that Nyko coolers actually can end up breaking their consoles. I have seen a picture of a Nyko cooler that actually melted onto the 360 casing, so I would just not get one for the PS3 either. From what I hear the PS3 doesn't have the over-heating issues that the 360 had.
