Hi people. I recently bought a PS3 which comes with 12 gb of standard space. I wanted to buy some games to try on it , and checked some latest releases . i searched for the latest Call of Duty Ghosts, and found that FOR PC's it has a space requirement of about 50 GB. BUT i didnt find any storage space requirements for the PS3 . i am new in the PS 3 segment , so i wanted to know if the game will run in 12 Gb of space without any installation procedure that we commonly go through in windows OS. Do the games on PS 3 run directly from the disks?
Any one who has played COD Ghosts on PS 3, please help. And if any other gamers know about this, then it will be good.

If you say the game does run then it will be really good to avoid the problems of getting extra space on it.
By the way if I want to increase my PS3's capacity from 12 GB to say 160 GB or which ever is possible , how do I do it. I mean how to connect the external HDD.
Let's wait for articles to appear about adding space.
But consider this. If Sony and the retailer are not answering your questions, why would you pay them a dime?

Well, the thing is that I had bought a Sony Bravia TV with which there was the usual OFFER of the 4 standard active 3D glasses AND this time a 12 GB PS3. So I thought to get some games anyway . That's why I asked about increasing the capacity.
And apart from that, I'm getting the video and audio from my TV at present. How do I get the AUDIO from the home theatre system for better sound effects . Can I use a HDMI cable out from the PS3 into the DVD/Blu-ray player along with the A/V cable into the TV, so that I get the video from the TV as usual but the audio from the 5 speakers connected to the DVD player system.
Thanks for any help Bob...
I haven't found a good article about this yet. It's a new model and it may take a few weeks till someone writes more.
So, I took the risk and bought COD Ghosts anyway. And it works perfectly!!
I checked the games working and it just takes few Kilobytes of space for game saves, etc.
And regarding the sound, I just have to put on the Blu-ray player and the sound comes through the "front 4 speakers only(including sub-woofer". The sound rarely comes through the surround speakers. I guess the game developers didn't work much from surround sound point of view, i.e., the two rear speakers.
Otherwise everything works fine. And if someone is not getting the sound through the home theatre system then you can choose the audio output source, SONY has made a direct button on the DVD players remote just for that.
Thanks for your help Bob. ![]()
