Sandy, I can do it in two steps, 1/2 of the processes in each "Print Screen". It will take two separate pictures to do it this way.

On Windows 2000 or XP:
Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. When the Task Manager comes up, click on the "Processes" tab. Make sure you're viewing the top part of the list, then press Alt-"Prt Scr". Now open MS "Paint" by clicking on Start-All Programs-Accessories-Paint. When that opens, click on "Edit" in the upper left corner of Paint, choose "Paste". You should now have a picture of the top section of the Task Manager list. Save that picture with a file name.

Now return to the Task Manager and scroll to the bottom part of the list. Follow the same procedures and you should have a picture of the bottom section. Save the file.

Hope this helps.

I didn't know Alt-Prt Scr would work. I've been pressing Prt Scr, then pressing Ctrl-C, then going into paint, etc. Thank you! Grin

Thanks Grif... That was just TOO easy lol !!!

Is it possible to send you a pic of my Task Mgr?

I loaded World of Warcraft on my puter and ever since then, it takes approximately 5 minutes for the danged puter to boot up in the morning. I KNOW there are things in the Task Mgr that do not need to be there. Usually my son-in-law handles this for me. However he is over in the Gulf atm and isn't able to receive pics via Email.

Thanks again!

Sandy, Try This...

It's not necessary for me to see your Task Manager list...I don't remember seeing your operating system posted, but assuming it's Win 2000 or XP, you might want to use the link below to shut down some of those unnecessary start up programs. Make sure to use the links at the bottom of the page for shutting down "services".:

How To Shut Down Unnecessary Start Up Programs

After paring down the "Processes" list, clean up the computer by cleaning out the Temporary Internet Files folder, deleting all .tmp files on the computer, then run Error Checking/Chkdsk and Defrag to optimize the hard drive.

Hope this helps.
