Proxy Question / School project

Mar 19, 2007 3:56AM PDT

Hi. I am mainly writing this because at my alternitive high school we are required to "Ask a computer expert ouside of the school on a fourm blog or wiki." and I have always liked cnet for reviews and problems so I thought I would post my question here.

So my question is this, at our school we have a website blocker that blocks "inaproprite" website. Well no program is perfect and it annoys me when it blocks things that I don think should be blocked. Even if I ask the teacher and she says its okay I cant get there. I also cleared this question with the teacher before I asked so dont flame me for being a stupid wannabe hacker. Happy

Check our forum policies and you'll find that it can't be discussed here.

The answer will be "ask your IT staff or network administrator."

that's why the tech people put it there in the first place.

Some places do NOT allow the persons to read outside emails. Some block persons from going to bad websites. It's a matter of preference of the tech people and the company. Some companies are more lenient than others. Since you are talking about a school, they get strict. Some don't even allow outside access. You can only access them within the building.
