ProView Plasma

A friend recently won a ProView MH322HU 42in Plasma EDTV in a raffle. He wanted to know if I wanted to buy from him for $2000. Currently, the online stores are selling between $2600 and $2800 I couldn't find any reviews on the ProView models. All the specs can be seen at http://www.800stereo.org/proview-mh422hu.html.

I was about to - in the next 12 months - get a plasma display so this sort of fell into my lap. I was looking at the highly rated Panasonic EDTVs because most of my viewing is movies.

So here are my questions:
1) Anybody have any experience with ProView? How does it handle the grays and blacks versus other EDTVs.

2) Is it worth it at $2,700? The answer here is basically another way to ask the first question.

3) Is the ProView worth it at, say, $2000? If the ProView has some flaws (relative to other plasmas), does the $600-$800 discount make up for it, in your opinion?

Thanks!
