They may be a bit more money, but they are at the pro level.
The word I keep hearing is that no built in microphone is much good. For starters, it's extremely difficult to isolate the mic from camera operation or handing noises.
Hi all,
I am deciding between Sony VX 2100 (good CCD size, good low-light performance, great battery life...) and Panasonic AG DVC 30 (better price, 16x zoom, big LCD monitor, good video controls...) to shoot a travel type documentary with.
Which one would you suggest? (of these 2 or any other in similar price-range)
Does either of them have a good enough microphone to eliminate the need for an external one?
I also saw great reviews on PV GS 400. Can a consumer level camcorder possibly record in broadcast quality? Is it possible to still buy a new GS 400 anywhere?
Great forum, bytheway. Lots of very useful information.
Thanks.
