Proshow Gold, Soundtrack dragging

Nov 1, 2005 9:11PM PST

I am using Proshow Gold and have it installed in all of my three computers. Having trouble with one of the computers though. When I play back in full screen no matter what soundtrack I use it drags or jumps my music around. if I playback in preview/small screen it is fine. If I playback via cd on my tv it plays without dragging. I sent photoshow gold support a request to help but they told me to check directx and audio, video for lastest versions. checked them and they are the lastest versions. Have a dell, enough memory, and running xp home. any suggestions?
Thank You,
Daisy

It doesn't work on my 486 either.

I had to replace that machine. Maybe you have something better (Dell had 486s) but no details so I'm only guessing your machine could be a 486, have spyware or an incorrect driver.

For example a neighbor let Microsoft install a new audio driver. Bad move.

Cheers,

Bob

NO SUPPORT for this program
Nov 11, 2005 4:30PM PST

Have purchased this version: sound track is dragging all around as you pointed out. The solution is to create a single merged sound track for the show.
To go around this problem - see: http://sevenhillscameraclub.org/misc/digital/slideshows/software/audacity.html

You should feel very lucky to have gotten any answer for support. I've phoned them, sent them, urged them - nothing. I understand now that I've purchased a program with well known bugs. The sound problem has been noticed on many earlier version, but they didn't fixed it.
IT IS THE WORSED SUPPORT I HAVE EVER GOTTEN FROM ANY COMPANY.
The support team must have know this problem - they just don't take responsiblity and acknowledge it.
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS PROGRAM

ProShow Gold

There is an unofficial users group that has been started for ProShow Gold.

I have been monitoring it for a couple of months.
It is very active and there are some pretty sharp users that have been helping on all type of problems.

They are also coming up with some great ideas and tips for new things to do with ProShow Gold.
