ProShow Gold 2.5 error message

Tried the trial version of ProShow Gold and read all the reviews and opinions, etc.... decided to purchase it and did so today. After getting all the pictures loaded in ... that's all I did ... did not even do the audio or the transitions.... just loaded in the photos - about 140 of them. And after dragging them to the time line, I got that dreaded error message ...
ProShow Gold has encountered a problem and has to close ... sorry for any inconvenience .... I have a new Sony VAIO VGCRB38G XP media edition, System Memory 1Gbyte Cache Memory 1 Mbyte. I have done a disc cleanup, defrag and deleted all temp files ... I have 86% free on my hard drive ... any ideas what is making this happen? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Two suggestions.

In reply to: ProShow Gold 2.5 error message

1. Call tech support.
2. If all else fails, load half the photos, put them on the timeline, and save. Get out and/or restart the computer. Load the timeline, and restore what you had saved. Proceed with the rest of the photos, and save again. You may also have to reboot after each save.

BTW, these are general suggestions. I know nothing about your product.

ProShow Gold 2.5

In reply to: ProShow Gold 2.5 error message

I am still using ProShow Gold 2.0
And loving it.

Since version 2.5 is fairly new, you should call
Photodex Corp tech support.

They should be interested in any such failures.
They have been very good at fixing problems quickly on their other versions.

I always save my work, at least at every 100 slides I enter. Just in case there is a power failure.
A good habit to aquire.
