Hello folks,

Ran into trouble the other night, out of the blue. I decide I want to watch a dvd, simple enough right? Well, after fine use for a while, Ive run into this problem.

Put a DVD in, fine and dandy, till I get to any previews or the actual movie. Warning tags come up fine. I can bring up the menu on my dvd player fine. But as soon as and motion starts, the tv loses the signal.

I thought maybe the lens in the player was dirty, put in a cleaning disk. No dice. Tried a different dvd, nope. Tried another...nope. So I figure, well, maybe the player is dying, its a few years old. Pop my dvd into the xbox 360. As soon as I start the flick, bam the tv loses signal again. I can play my games, but not the dvds.

As far as the tv itself, I can still do everything else with it, watch cable, play games, watch over the air tv...

I turned off the progressive scan feature on the dvd player, to limited success. The movie plays, but the picture is jittery and drops every so often. I hooked up the 360 with the rca/component cables, and it will play flicks.

Any ideas?? I doubt both of the composite jacks suddenly went out seeing as I can still access the menu on the dvd and still play games on the 360... Just wont play video. Is there some sort of thing in the tv that takes the signal from the dvd/360 during playback that only matters for dvds???
