Programs that automatically start when Windows XP starts

by bigmedia / August 10, 2008 1:22 AM PDT

I loaded a program called Zortam to manage music directories. This program starts automatically when I start Windows. The program is not in the "startup" directory. Can someone tell me how this may be starting and how to stop it (without uninstalling the program).

Look in the program itself.

Usually these applications have a Tools > Options in the menu list along the top.

Look in there for anything that sets the software to load on Startup.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
