Programs randomly shut down, Pc randomly restarts

Dec 10, 2003 5:28AM PST

I think I might have some kind of a virus or something. I scanned my pc with norton, trend micro and pestpatrol and found so far no virusses. This virus or whatever it is is very nasty. So far i see a lot of new programs(.exe) files trying to acess internet through my firewall and i try to dont allow em and close em from task manager. My pc keeps restarting so its hard for me to do a full virus scan but so far i scanned everything and deleted a bunch of spyware... here is my hi jack report

i don't think you have a virus, but you are running a lot of programs designed to connect to the Internet on a continuing basis. you haven't given a list of what those programs are that you are blocking. the gaming and streaming audio video and audio programs are probably not needed.

Well it seesm that you've been hijacked. Numerous programs and files were installed. Have you run Ad Aware? It cleans the registry along with the files, etc. I've had two experiences with this type of mass spyware infection: one, I was able to clean the PC using a combination of Ad Aware type software and the hijacker's own websites to use the well hidden uninstall.exe for their particular program. Two, I wasn't able to get the system to stay up long enough, so I reformatted. Reinstalled my stuff and it was fixed.
