General discussion

programs opening links in IE instead of FF

Aug 28, 2007 2:51PM PDT

I just got a new computer with Vista, and so far I haven't really had problems. My only issue is that whenever I click on a link in another program, google earth for example, it will open it in IE instead of Firefox. FF is set as my default browser, but I assume I'm missing some kind of setting somewhere to change it. Anyone know how?

Thanks!

Karen

Google Earth does that.

It seems to not obey settings so you need to report this as a bug.

not just google earth though

It isn't just google earth though, I've been testing it, and so far Google toolbar, Picasa, iTunes all do it. Is that a bug in all of them?

Appears so.

If you research support forums on each of those softwares, you find complaints about that.
