Programs not showing up in Control Panel Add/Remove

Mar 11, 2007 12:13AM PST

I have several programs that work quite well, with no apparent problems, that do not appear in my add/remove programs. Specifically, they are Adobe Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, Adobe InDesign CS2, Acrobat Pro 7.0, and SwishMax. I need to uninstall InDesign but cannot. Any ideas?

First, it's just a list. Not enforced by the OS.

So what to do?

1. Install the program again and hope it shows up.
2. See if the menu in Start, Programs has an uninstall.
3. See if Add Remove Pro (a free program) will uninstall it.

It happened to me once when i tried to remove a p2p software, somud ,from my computer.from the start menu i found the location of the folder containing the application which had the file name "unist" or something like that. After clicking the file, the application got uninstalled.Make sure you have not kept the application is not open.If it is open right click the application icon on the task bar and choose exit.Hope it helps someone.
