I try a new Admin account and have alternate methods to remove apps such as manual deletion and Revo Uninstaller.
You bring up a good issue such as should the OS feature such security at all for home users?
I am dealing with a situation in which various functions are not accessible to me. When I attempt to access any settings or to remove a new program (AirParrot, which I don't recognize) it tells me I do not have access or permission. It also has the DVD/CDROM drives locked as well. IT also will not allow the use of Microsoft Security Essentials, or of any other security program. Anyone know what this is and how to remedy it?
The computer is a Toshiba Satellite L655 2010 model.
