Should include getting into Visual Studio 2008 and 2010. I suggest you start learning about those systems, pick up the books about Windows programming and in about a year you'll have your app or add-in.
There are a few that feel slighted that one has to obtain these tools or learn a lot before they get their apps working. But this is the way it is. Let's see if you are ready or just another impatient one.
I plan to develop a tool that involves some actions in the Windows file explorer. Just like "My Network Places", I would like my hard ware(it's not just like detecting my USB drive) to be listed there and allow file transfer by drag and drop.
1) If you could point to some api's that will give programming interface to interact with Windows File Explorer, that would be a great help.
2) Can we customize the Windows file explorer to have our own components ?
3) How can we get handle to the drag and drop actions ?
Your help is much appreciated.
