Just last week I was using Google's Android Studio to touch out our apps. But the errors you note should get you into GIT forums.
The only thing I can share is for use, W10 has not been an issue at all. It's been great.
Specs: Windows 10 on a Thinkpad T470s
Problem: Programs that generate files seem to be failing
Attempted Solutions: Running as administrator, and reinstalling the software described below
I first ran into an issue when trying to git init through the git bash shell. I was getting permission denied errors. I assumed it was a windows security feature and attempted to run as admin. It did not work so I tried Git CMD instead of Git Bash and that worked. For this reason at the time I assumed it was just a quirk of Git on my machine, or I botched the configuration in some way. No big deal.
Later in the day I was attempting to create a new Java application project via Netbeans. When I attempt to create a project it is able to create the folder structure of the project, but it is not filling in the directories such that the size of the project directory ends up being 0 bytes.
At this point I begin to suspect there is a problem that lies outside these two pieces of software. I feel like there is some security feature I am missing, or else my windows installation has become corrupted somehow. I took a look at my security settings and everything seems to be as I would expect. I have had none of these problems on my desktop, so I am really at a loss. I don't know if this is the best forum for this type of problem but I would really appreciate any advice anyone might have.
I will check back so if you have any questions or need any more information please let me know. Thanks for your time.
