Question

Program says "No internet Connection"

Jun 12, 2012 11:05AM PDT

I downloaded a program called Traffic Travis that needs to access the internet. Every time I run it it says "No internet Connection" I have eliminated all the issues with antivirus and firewalls.

I created a new profile on the same laptop and the program runs fine. So it is something specifically related to my profile. Does anyone know what would cause this?

It also does this when I try to update my ipod software.

Yes to that profile issue.

Remember that Microsoft has never provided tools to fix profiles. They write to move to the new account.

Unless I'm able to get to the keyboard of the machine to run a slew of commands which are Greek to most, my advice is to take Microsoft's lead.

Hi jmk909er,

My name is Charan and I am from Dell Social Media Team.

This is in regards to the issue you had mentioned as Program says "No internet Connection".

Following is the troubleshooting step I would suggest you to follow:

Based on the anti-virus program you have on your computer, I would request you to open Firewall Settings, add Traffic Travis program as an exception to make sure that the anti-virus program does not block access to it to get the internet connection. Please provide full access to this program in anti-virus tool and then try to connect Traffic Travis program to the internet.

I hope this should help you fix the issue in your computer for 'No internet connection'.

Regarding the update for iPod software, are you referring to 'iTunes' software?

Please reply to us if the issue is not getting fixed even after following the above troubleshooting step.
