Program installation monitor?

May 4, 2006 2:34AM PDT

any free program that tracks the installation process? So if I wanted to remove a program all would be gone. No add/remove or regcleaner. Something that would take a snapshot? maybe an interface to install new programs? I don't want to use sysrestore or similar offerings? anybody ever use norton 'safe try mode' in nsw?

thank you bob & white

first to bob: as always you have the esoteric stuff no one else has. I first thought GNU was an acronym for greater known universe, your posts always make me think.

to white: ashampoo is pricey but if it works well, it always depends if you have more time than money. siw 1.59, I will check it out.

I did find total uninstall 3.6 here:

http://www.download.com/Total-Uninstall/3000-2096-10487016.html?part=winmp&subj=dl&tag=feed&jump=winmp

editor review was cautious, user review scary. I did google 3.61 reviews and they were all over the place. So I will pass on that. thanks again

Don't know it

Actually , i do not really know this software .
As far as i could understand , you requested an
uninstaller with a particular feature :
real-time monitor for installation/uninstallation of
program .
A software able to store information about .dll &
reg keys during installation & to completely remove them while
uninstalling .
The program i've suggested has got this particular feature .
Don't know other softwares with this feature .
However this is excellent uninstaller/cleaner too (...unfortunately...shareware) :

I'll try software you ask me about .

Ok
May 5, 2006 9:28AM PDT

Ok , but consider that your version hasn't got all
feature the one i suggested has .
I've tried the uninstaller you asked me about , it has
Reg entry window , that is nothing more than regedit launcher , Windows components manager & a good tutorial :
nothing more & nothing less than Windows one .
Currenrly , if you want the feature you requested , you
have to use the uninstaller i've suggested before .
