Program for a possible fix for

I had posted this awhile back and apologize. I can't find that post.
I suddenly lost the ability to highlight a file and open with another program other than it's file association. Going to properties and changing the association is still a prompt.

Someone suggested that this program could possibly fix that, but am leery of downloading it before checking if it could possibly cause more harm than good because in reality I can live without the open with function.

I hold the SHIFT key and RIGHT-CLICK to change the association if I want. The OPEN WITH shows itself every time.

Some can't do this and they will need another piece of software.
