General discussion

program does not come on automatically

Mar 11, 2006 9:09PM PST

I have a program that I use all the time. It does not come on automatically when I boot or reboot. You have to manually open it. I would like to add it to the programs that come on at boot. How do I add this program to that list?? Thank You!

What OS are you running ?

Often times you can just drag the program/executable file over to the Startup Menu under Programs.

Might try 'Start', 'Run'...type in MSCONFIG and look under the STARTUP TAB

You should take care not to move or copy the program, but just put a shortcut to it in the startup group. Many programs rely on dll's being present in the folder they are being run in.
