Product Comparison Help: IDE/SATA to USB 2.0 Cable Adapter

Sep 4, 2010 4:05AM PDT

Hi, after recently dropping my 2.5in external hard drive (http://www.amazon.com/SmartDisk-USBFLB100-FireLite-External-Drive/dp/B00065IH40) I am planning to buy an IDE/SATA to USB 2.0 Cable Adapter in a cheap attempt to get my external drive working again. I was advised by Bob to consider the link below, but I found a similar-looking product (the 2nd link) for cheaper. Since I have no knowledge about these products, could someone tell me if there's any real reason not to go with the cheaper one? Thanks for helping me compare these products!

More Expensive:

Slightly Cheaper:

These items are fungible. It's like gas for your car. Shell, Conoco and others are too close to call if there is any difference.

Yes.

And that's a nice presentation of the product for those that need to see pictures of each part and cable supplied.
