Which is more important for a laptop's speed?

I want to buy a laptop on Dell.com. I want to customize it, but i don't know if i should upgrade the processor or the RAM. It comes with a basic 3GB RAM, and Intel

In this case, the CPU AND THE GPU.

But any Pentium Dual Core is now 3 generations back from today's i3 laptops. You are looking at VALUE machines so just enjoy it.
