Feb 15, 2004 1:08PM PST

A while ago I had to install a new motherboard because my old one burnt up and I put my old processor chip that was a AMD Atholon XP 2400 2.1 ghz and the problem is now my motherboard recognizes it as a AMD Athalon XP 1800 1.5 GHZ.. What can I do to fix this?

You need to post your system specifications.
Mainboard Manufacturer, Model #, System Memory, etc.
Anyone reading your post will need to know this info. before they can help solve your problem.

Within the Bios is an adjustment for setting the FSB. Try setting it to 133 instead of 100.
