Processor problem.

I wish to buy an asus x53sr but will vista premium work on a 1.6 ghz proessor with 667 MHz FSB, 2 MB Cache (Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5450)

i dont know the diffrences between the optical one on the asus and the normal one.

The first unit had the HD DVD drive.

I don't want to sound insulting but I want to keep this short.

-> There was a battle over HD content format. HD or BluRay. If you look into that you'll see HD didn't win. Your first unit had that drive and why I'm asking why that laptop.

It's possible you are just in need of a cheap cheep laptop. This could have me saying "go ahead" and note the usual issues with support and parts for the no-names. We can easily guess you won't be getting a replacement HD DVD drive in 2 years.
