Process Me!

by dyesberger / July 15, 2005 3:56 AM PDT

I'm looking into a new laptop. I have a guy offering me a Dell, 512 mb ddr2, p-m 1.6ghz, 60 gb 5400 hdd, Its a latitude 9300 I think. I am really into digital music, photoshop, web editing, and I was wondering what the optimal processor for those features are. Would a p-m 1.6 ghz be able to do photoshop, flash, video editing, etc? It has a 64mb graphics card as well. I was also looking at an HP for about 1,150 with amd 64 3700, and all the rest same specs except 128 graphics. (zvseries).

Which notebook would be the optimal choice for my needs? The Dell or HP? Also are there other good ones?

P.S...are Dell notebooks good? Bcause I've heard their desktops are cheap. Thanks.

It can probably handle Photoshop although it will be slow.

Forget video editing. It's far too slow and small.

Should be fine.

My old road warrior laptop was a p3-600 MHz and I did video editing and much more while on the road. You are looking at something much better.

Cheers,

Bob
