Probllem with AVI

Jul 21, 2006 5:38AM PDT

I downloaded a AVI video and I want to convert it to a dvd but the problem is that I want to divide that video because is a concert and I want to separete them with chapters( the whole video clip is a massive AVI clip, 1.40 GB to be exact). I tried with nero 7 and intervideo windvd creator 3 and they are to slow. Is there an application unique for chapter creation or a good program that is good??? thanks.

1.4 gigs is not very big for an avi file, or for a video

file.

Sony Vegas Studio can probably divide it into clips or insert chapter markers, and create the appropriate mpeg-2 files. Something additional will be needed to author and burn the DVD.

You can open the avi file in VirtualDub, break it into required segments and convert each to a mpeg2 file using appropriate software. These can then be authored to a dvd for burning.
