It's worth a try to enable Hibernate and use that when you know you're going away long enough. Might just circumvent the issue, whatever it is.
Also check the 'turn off when not used' settings in Power Settings in Control Panel. Setting (some of) those to "never" might just fix this issue.
Ok, first here are my specs
Windows 10 Pro (Activated) 64 Bit
Intel Core i5-4570, 3.2Ghz
8 GB Ram
Intel Graphics 4600 (On Board)
HD: WDC WD10EADX-22TDHB0
Realtek Wireless Lan 802.11n
I don't have a lot of programs loaded, but startup has the following
Windows Security Notification Icon
Realtek TrlServiceApplication
HP Digital Imaging Monitor
Realtec HD Audio Manager
I can not seem to find what is happening when the machine freezes. Here are the symptoms. I can use my computer for hours. I generally use chrome on the internet, and now and then Office Programs (Google). The issue occurs whether I leave programs open or close them all and then walk away.
The issue comes up when I walk away from the computer for a length of time, and then return. Nothing is responsive. The mouse moves, and will click things, but then I get the little timer circle and ...nothing. Oddly, this is not all the time. Sometimes I can return and take up where I left off.
I've tried using the Performance monitor to see where things might be giving me trouble. I left the monitor on and left the machine. When I moved the mouse, the activity light on the computer come on and won't turn off. BUT the hard drive activity on the Performance Monitor shows next to nothing.
Any ideas??
