I use Virtual Dub to re-encode them. You can too.
I have a Sony Cybershot camera and I am able to transfer my videos and pictures to my computer with ease. However, I'm trying to work with some of the videos from my vacation to stream them on the internet. The video files are classified as MPEG's and play successfully in Windows Media Player, however Windows Media Player gives the wrong time for all of my videos. It will count to about 7 seconds or whatever of a video and show a 100% played status bar while continuing to play the videos until the end (much longer). At first I didn't really care but now all of my Video conversion software will only let me work with "those 7 seconds" and not the entire file. I am having this problem with every single video file transferred from my cybershot. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
