Since it's their WLAN you want to talk to those that maintain it. There is some chance it's on the other channels you can't get to. Here's a chat about that.

Since you have a device that connects, you can see if the usual channel number issue is in play.

Hi everyone,
I just arrived in Berlin 2 days ago and will stay here for two months for work. i rented an apartment for that time including wlan Internet. but somehow there are some problems with it. when i connect my Android phone with it everything works fine. also when i connect a Windows computer with it. but as soon asi connect my MacBook with this wlan, the Internet dies not work on any advice anymore until i restart the router. so basically i have no Internet with my MacBook which is pretty bad because i need it for work. does anybody know how to fix this problem?
