problems with vista desktop icons

Jan 4, 2008 10:29AM PST

About two weeks ago I noticed that my icons have a "black box" covering them...I thought that maybe the game i was playing caused that, but i've uninstalled the game and did a system restore and the boxes are still there...HELP!

1. Right-click on the Desktop.

2. Select Personalize and select Display Settings.

3. Change the Color from 32 bit to 16 bit and click Apply.

4. Change the Color back to 32 bit and click Apply.
