Problems with VIA Chipset Avance Audio controller.

Mar 25, 2004 3:31AM PST

I just changed cases for my computer, and I don't know whether it's related, but the outputs for my Avance 97 Audio controller are completely on the fritz.

The Rear output now controls the sub/center.
The Sub/center now controls the rear.
The front is nowhere to be found!

Anybody with ideas, please help ^_^

Windows XP. VIA AT7 MB, K7 2 Ghz. processor. Geforce FX 5600 Video card.

I would first uninstall the device in device manager, then reboot letting xp reinstall the device.

If that doesn't solve the problem, I would go to Via website for the latest driver download and install that.

Good Luck

Unfortunately, I've already done both...

Thanx anyway for the help ^_^ It looks as if I may have to just stop using the peripheral card and get a new Sound Card, which royally sucks. Que, seva. That was a good card, too...

Again, thanx anyway.
