Problems with TV Out

Jun 29, 2007 9:44AM PDT

I have been having problems with TV out for my Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 video card to my TV.

I have a video cable that uses S-Video that plugs into the back of the video card and converts the signal to the 3 end cable (Component? Has the 2 ends for audio, and 1 for video(yellow))

I have to use this instead of a full s-video cable, because my TV does not have a S-Video port in the back.

Anyways - I had it working before, but for some reason after reformatting and then trying to get it to work again, I can't.

I have all the driver software installed. I have messed with all the settings in the Nvidia Control Panel including the force detection choices.

It detects the TV, and the audio is working from the PC to the TV, just not the Video.

I can't think of what else to try to get it to fix. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

reported the problem with the creation name to the engineers. To your video problem. Usually there are two reasons for this. Not all video drivers were updated. Have you gone to the manufacturer's website and downloaded the latest software? Second, something happened to the video port. What happens when you try to use a different cable?

Ok, thanks for reporting it. What makes that happen?

I only have the 1 s-video cable. I've downloaded all the video drivers I could find, and did so from various places. Installed, reinstalled - same thing happens.

Thank you

reformat? If you reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled Windows, did you re-update Windows at the windows update site? Some info on your system might help also.
