Problems with the sound card

May 22, 2005 8:12AM PDT

After a shortcut my computer lost its sound. Programmes like Winamp, Win media player, Video Lan, etc. play various files but without sound. I am going crazy. What am I supposed to do to get this stupid machine to produce any sound?

I make sure the sound card settings are not MUTED and may reinstall the sound card driver.

Did I forget to mention . . .

Did I forget to mention that I receive messages like kernel 32 DLL error when I turn on VideoLAN or Media player. And how am I supposed to reinstall my soundcard driver - I don't know how to do that.
As for the sound card settings they are muted and in fact they don't respond at all. I just can't do anything to get them work either.

If you don't know your make/model of machine or parts...

I can't know either.

Try BELARC ADVISOR if you have a machine with no name.
