Problems with sony Connect

Hi, im new to this site and due to being completely frustrated with the sony connect software i have probably missed any other post regarding it if there are any on here.

I'm having a big problem with the software and was wondering if anyone can think of a solution?

I installed the software today went through the whole process and restarted my pc...then i started connect waited a while for it to load then plugged in my sony nwa 1000. It didnt even detect it as new hardware and so i cant even transfer music to it. the transfer button remains unhighlighted and there is no indication of the mp3 player being connected even though it managed to charge itself.

I dont know what to do, all i can find are websites about the problems with connect rather than solutions-especailly the problem that im having...

so if anyone can thinkn of anything please please reply back to me

Connect Software for Sony MP3 player

I have just purchased same player and had similar problem.
Solved it by making sure internet connection was made and also temporarily turned of firewall.

Did you sort problem out?
There is now a patch available from sony site to correct this.
