Problems with posting on forums

Feb 28, 2008 1:48PM PST

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not but it seemed like the best fit.

For the last several years I have been having issues posting to several online forums (not Cnet). Specificly to www.starquestclub.com and more recently www.mightyd50.com. The basic problem is that for no reason my posts get deleted. I've contacted the site admins and they have not been able to find any reason why my posts get deleted.

For example on the starquestclub.com site (a php88 forum) I make a post or start a new thread and after about 4 veiws to that thread my post get deleted. The only way my posts stay on that forum is if someone posts after me and "locks" my post into place. The mightyd50.com forum (a vBulletin forum)is more troublesome. My posts get deleted even after some one posts after me.

On both forums the deleting happens at all hours of the day and night. I live in the Santa Cruz mountains and use SBC and run a Mac with OSX. This also happened to posts I did at my old job that used Meganet as the ISP on a Windows XP machine and also at my new job useing Cruzio on a Windows XP machine. It also dosent matter what browser I use. The problem has gotten so bad that I am no longer able to contribute to these forums and they also being forums for my cars, having difficulty getting the expertise I need to fix my cars when I run into a problem I am not sure how to fix.

I've asked several people who work in the computer repair and networking fields and no one has any idea of what the issue could be. If anyone has any idea of where I may be able to find an answer to my problems that would be great.

You need to look for your answer

at the forums where the posts get removed. Your question/answer gets posted, you can read it, then someone (admin/mod/hacker) removes/deletes your post. Nothing to do with your computer or ISP.

the admins are not the ones removing my posts. I have contacted all of them even the sites owners. no one has any idea of what the cause is. it also happens to others on the forums. I am not the only one it is happening too.

Makes me think it's the sites problem if it happens to other posters.
On the WinXP computer,
Only thing you can check is Internet Properties - General tab - Browser History - Settings - Tempory Internet Files - (see picture link.)
