Windows File Explorer does not have an ICONS only option. For that you will have to search if anyone wrote another file explorer to do what you are asking.
In the prior discussion I supplied a YouTube tutorial and what you wrote here does not work in Windows File Explorer. I'd watch that tutorial again and consider that Microsoft's viewer may not do what you ask for.
I know that in XP and some other versions there was an icon only option but that is now gone in W10.
I've been trying to change a list to icons. When I go to a folder I called Videos. When I hit ctrl and a to select them all and right click properties it shows change icon and I select one, fine! But when I go to a folder called pictures and the pictures are all in there. Again I hit ctrl-a all the pictures are selected. But, when I go to view-medium and right click properties. It does not offer change icons?
Any help you give me, would be great!
