Clarification Request
Too many reasons for this.

Low RAM, didn't install drivers after the OS and so much more.

To work this tell more about this PC. Since the W10 OS license has teeth, you may wan to decide soon if that's the OS for you.

That aside, tell much more about the PC and your work after you installed the OS.

I use basic editing on hitfilm just putting clips together 8 gb of ram and I installed the os through usb I got all the latest files and updates except for the os which is the free windows until I buy windows home

For 4K editing you'll need more.

As to all the latest files and updates, that's a problem. Microsoft won't get you the correct or best drivers for things like motherboard, WiFi, GPU and so on.

Tell me exactly how you get your drivers.
The old fashioned way where we go to the maker's for drivers is still done today. I'm running into a too high percentage of folk (close to 80%?) that are trying Microsoft's drivers and learning that the old way is still best.

PS. Go ahead and share a Web Speccy. Here's how:

Um...

I’m not doing 4K just 1080

Even 1080 editing can bog down for many reasons.

Remember that old SD editing was time consuming back then. We would wait 6 hours for a DVD render job not long ago. Today, much quicker but I find many folk thinking this stuff should be faster. Well it can by throwing more hardware at it but here we have few details and no Speccy report.

OK, I know folk may not be into this sort of work so if it's not possible to get details, then a shop counter or the place you bought this is the next stop.

This is what I wrote about above.

It's my request for "your work after you installed the OS."

It's often overlooked by many. A typical response is "I don't see errors in device manager" or "It can't be USB drivers since my mouse works."

Glad you got the work completed.

- You got a computer recently. Usually computers come with an OS. Why didn't yours?
- What exactly is "a full OS" (that you don't have) and what is a "free Windows" (that you have)?
