Hi, I don't know if this problem is related to my computer or my DVD-burner drive, but it's seriously annoying me. Sometimes, my DVD drive just doesn't work, but this problem has happened with my previous CD drive so I assume that it is a problem with my computer. Whenever I eject a CD or DVD, the computer doesn't know. Even after I have inserted a new CD/DVD the computer thinks that the previous CD is still in there. For example, if I insert disc X into the drive, my computer will read it as disc X. But when I eject disc X and insert disc Z, the "My Computer" screen won't realize that I have removed disc X from the drive and the CD drive icon will still say disc X is in the drive. Also, I used to be able to copy CD's, DVD's and games (legally) with a single click, and my computer would do the rest, but not anymore. The drive doesn't even start spinning when I try to copy stuff. Or it will start spinning but it just won't read the disc. Also, sometimes, if I install something with multiple discs, the installer won't recognize the 2nd CD even if it's in the CD drive. I will have to re-insert it several times before I finally get it working. What's even more annoying is that sometimes when I'm burning a disc, the disc will stop spinning while in the burning process, thus ruining a perfectly good disc. My CD/DVD drive is a Plextor PX-740A.
