I worry that repair cost will not be acceptable.
For this one I suggest no repair if a factory installed OS doesn't clear it up.
Use an external monitor instead and get as many years as you can from this laptop.
It's close to the expected life span so my advice is only this.
I've been having problems with my laptop monitor lately. I'll try to explain the situation as best I can:
The display on the monitor seems to be alligned a little bit downwards, revealing a sort of line going across the whole upper side of the monitor. The line is not black but somehow acts like its displaying the whole monitor in a very narrow line across the top. In addition, recently the display has been occasionally flickering/jumping/glitching down a bit and returning to normal.
I have no idea whats causing it but my guess would be that there is something wrong with the gpu's connection with the monitor. Is anyone having the same issue? Is there a possible fix for this? If anyone knows please let me know, thx!
I am using an Asus ROG G770JW with GTX770M graphics if that helps.
