I picked up my spares from newegg.com and geeks.com. The Targus (very nice unit) was 25 bucks and works on AC, the airplane and in the car.
I'd dispose of this fast.
I wanted an extra HP AC adaptor for my HP compaq nx7300 laptop so I bought one cheap on ebay from Hong Kong. Before that I did make sure that the plug fitted and the spec's was the same (18,5V, 3,5A). And it seemingly functioned well when it arrived. However, it makes a low buzzing noise and even worse my cursor acts very weird on the screen(freezes etc) when the adaptor is connected while the laptop is on and running.
The new adaptor does have another Part No. than the old one, but I reckoned that shouldn't be a problem just as long the plug and the spec's were the same.
Is anyone out there familiar with this and do I risk damaging the battery or even the laptop by using this new adaptor?
