Resolved Question

problems with apps on BD-H6500

Jan 25, 2015 7:10AM PST

I bought a BD H6500 player yesterday. The disc replay works fine but the apps won't work at all. The wifi is definitely connected and the web browser works. When I try to sign in to the samsung apps account it says " The apps panel has not been activated yet". When i go to the apps panel it says "Checking apps info from the server. Apps will be updated shortly. please wait". I can browse available apps but If I try and download them I get a message saying "The function is not currently supported". As far as I can tell the firmware is the most recent, and the player must be connected ok to the internet or the browser wouldn't work. Any suggestions?

I had tried to rest via settings menu which didn't work but the hard reset has completely sorted it. Thank you very much online brand ambassador. I hope Samsung give you a nice embassy to work from.

Frankly I think this issue should be called in and if they don't resolve it before your return period is up, then return it as defective. You also buy it from a store that can demo it working?

I've contacted samsung and am waiting on a reply. I bought it yesterday so am fine to take it back if they can't give me a simple fix.
