Problems w/ Media Player 9 Streaming Radio

May 19, 2005 6:25AM PDT

I am running W'98SE and cannot figure out why whenever I attempt to listen to streaming radio using Media Player 9, I never get clear reception. Does it have something to do with buffering? Regardless of the station I am trying to listen to, the audio cuts in and out continually. It is very annoying! Can someone please tell me what I need to know to correct this problem? Thank you!

Maybe your connection?

You haven't said how you connect to the internet.

If you have 56K dial-up, then download speeds are going to be quite slow. Normally if you're doing nothing else on the internet this should be sufficient for radio, but if you are also surfing the net as well, then the radio streaming will be constantly interrupted by web page downloading.

I'm a Winamp guy.

Sorry, but I rarely give WMP more than a passing glance. It's just too heavy for most machines. Try Winamp.
