Question

Problems managing music with iTunes 11.1.5 and iPhone ios7

by hansen_darin / March 29, 2014 2:58 AM PDT

The other day I updated my iTunes to the 11.1.5 and have been having issues managing my music on my iPhone since. Here's the problem. I was going to change music on my phone (always manually) so I hook up the phone and computer, select all of the music on the phone, delete and sync. looks good, this how I've been doing it but when I auto fill the new playlist it only does the partial playlist and all of a sudden the old music is still there but not showing up in Itunes only on the phone. I manually delete music via the phone which sucks horribly bad. And there are still grey'd out songs that I can do nothing with. Any ideas whats going on?

selecting the tracks on the iPhone, when it's connected to iTunes, does not do anything to the tracks on the iPhone.

If you create a new playlist, which does not contain any of the tracks that are currently on the iPhone, then at the sync all the current iPhone tracks will be deleted.

Try that.

I tried syncing the new playlist and it added on and didn't replace anything. Selecting the tracks that are on the phone through iTunes and deleting them has worked before the iTunes 11.1.5 update.

Thanks, anything else?

Have I got this straight?

You deleted the contents of the original Playlist, in iTunes, and repopulated it with new tracks.

You then did a sync and ALL the old tracks stayed on the iPhone?

Is that correct?

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
