Problems installing new monitor

I just connected a new monitor to my computer. It is an AOC LCD monitor. The problem I am having is installing the drivers in XP. when I right click and go to properites, settings, advanced then monitors, the only thing there is default monitor. You can't click on properties to change the drivers. Is there someway to fix this problem. I downloaded the drivers from AOC, so I have them.

Go to Control panel, click on 'Add Hardware'
