Problems connecting to wireless connection

I am experiencing problems connecting to WiFi, it works OK for a short time then I get the message saying can't connect to Internet, then I heard someone mention the proxy settings and select the none option when I click on the advanced option, then it works fine .for a while the the setting I changed before on proxy setting changed back to manual setting and causing problems connecting to WiFi.

For the first step, drop the distance to half.

I find a lot of setups where I move the router closer and it's fixed. Your post has no detail so it's not possible to write much. I can't know if distance is the issue or the users are trying to TORRENT over WiFi (that's always a hoot.)
