Resolved Question

Problem with YouTube on Samsung Smart TV

Aug 19, 2016 3:27PM PDT

This started randomly one day last weekend. I have a Samsung Smart TV Blu-ray player and the menu has a YouTube app on it. It used to work perfectly fine, but now whenever I open it, a message pops up saying: "The webpage is not available. The webpage at http://www.youtube.com/tv?launch=menu&additionalDataUrl=http://localhost:56789/dialData?app=YouTube might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address." I know it has nothing to do with my internet connection because all my other apps work fine, and my software is also fully up to date. How do I fix this?

Always call in app failures.

Otherwise Samsung won't know it failed and will delay a fix for others.

Only Samsung can fix Samsung Apps. Since the YouTube app is by Google, when Google changes, you see issues like this. It's becoming a sad statement about what these makers were planning for long term support.

If one works and the other does not.

You've proven one has a defect. Keep it simple when dealing with App issues with these makers.
